
Memphis has a wealth of museums and interesting places to see, things to do. On Saturday morning, I was given a tour of the town. Our first stop was the Ornamental Metal Museum, devoted to preservation and promotion of fine metalworks.

Then there was the Dixon Gallery and Gardens which had an exhibit of Joe Jones: Radical Painter of the American Scene. Then we went to the Brooks Museum of Art had an exhibit of Willie Cole’s works on paper. We missed a few places I would have liked to see but, after a long day of travel on Thursday and then the opening reception Friday night, I was beginning to fade.
But I did get to see the muddy Mississippi:
